To schedule a tour by appointment, please provide a week’s notice.

Closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (Clara Barton’s Birthday). The Museum will close early at New Year’s Eve with last admission at 2:00 pm.

Special Exhibit:

A special temporary exhibit about Alexander Gardner’s Civil War photography will be available in early 2018. Click here for more information.

We welcome all visitors, and will work to meet their diverse needs. The preserved rooms are accessible by stairs and elevator.

The preserved rooms are lit by beautifully replicated faux-gas light, and therefore are dimly lit

While we love animals, only service animals are permitted inside the museum.

We ask all visitors under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult.

No food, drink, smoking or flash photography in the preserved rooms.
